Genki Sushi

Originated from Japan. You will get your order from the cute sushi train. Quite decent sushi. Would recommend Three type salmon sushi.

Gyoza Ya

Decent gyoza but don't expect too much. Can try their Jya Jya Men ($6.50++), quite fun experience.

Heniu

When you're broke and hungry, Teppanyaki at Foodcourt is the place to go. Filling and satisfying. With just as low as $7.90 for value set. Big serving of vegetables but not so much for meat/seafood.

Ippudo
If you want a higher standard ramen, here you go. One of the popular Ramen Chain Store in Japan.

We prefer the ramen from Ichiran (not available in Singapore)

Store Locator & Opening Hours (7 Outlets in Singapore)

Itacho

Originated from Hong Kong. Cheap and quality sushi. Love the Tomato udon, think it's from seasonal menu. Seared/Aburi salmon and scallop sushi is a must to order!

Jpot

Everyone will have their own pot. It's good to have your own pot because you can choose your own liking for soup base and the ingredients. You don't have to bother about others. Quite fresh but gonna be costly if you order seafood. Wouldn't say it's very nice but decent and suitable for family or large gathering. One down side is the soup get super salty at the end when you cook all the food.

Check their Website for their 3 Outlets information

Keisuke group
They have 7 or more stores in Singapore that sell different broth specialty ramen. We have been to 4 of them and will only recommend two. Free flow eggs and bean sprouts is available in all stores. Green Cola is also one of the must order when you dine here.

Keisuke Kani King
Recently opened in Cineleisure Orchard. The Crab Broth Ramen won the Title of Ramen Champion in 2011.

In picture; Crab broth (rich). Taste bitter and gets cloyed in short while..... Think the clear broth will taste better but will not return again. Have not tried the Lobster King yet. Heard many good reviews. Maybe we will try and review soon.

Koh grill sushi bar

Located in Wisma Food Court, We've been here umpteen time. Reason being it's convenient, affordable, tummy filling and delicious. Be prepared to queue.
What we like: Sukiyaki with additional udon, quite big portion so can be shared by 2.  Seafood fried rice not bad ($10) and we like shiok maki gen 2 ($16.80++).

Miam Miam
Their pasta is so delicious! Japanese-French cuisine. We would recommend this place for desserts too. Try their French toast.

Monster Curry
Big serving that can be shared for 2 at around $16+. Often you can find many school students here. Delicious Curry Tonkatsu rice and please add cheese yums!

Check their Website for Store information (7 Outlets)

Ootoya
Family oriented restaurant and they offer 5 different types of rice. Like the Katsu Don and there's a sweet and sour pork dish that taste like those you can find in Chinese restaurant.

Shinji by Kanesaka

This is the place for real authentic good sushi. You will definitely get the greatest sushi experience ever in Singapore. Every piece of sushi is carefully made by the Chef at it's right shape and temperature for the rice. All the Chefs are from Japan. For a person like me who do not dare to try all types of fish and don't really enjoy eating sushi in the past, Shinji completely change my concept of Sushi. The fish all taste like poultry meat for some reason and it definitely ruined all other sushi for us. Be sure to go here once in your life.

Standing Sushi Bar
Just like Koh Grill, we have been here many times.

Delicious looking creation roll but what we like more is the Tuesday/Thursday sashimi promotion!!! Bento set at affordable price too.
Really can spam when they have sashimi promo. At $3 for 5 slices plus it's generously sliced and quality salmon.

Sashimi Promotion is only available at 8 Queen Street.

Sushi Express
Just only $1.50++ a plate, sometime there's promotion and can go as low as $1++ a plate!!
Their Aburi Salmon is to die for. Not available all the time so if you manage to try it that day you're lucky. Quite decent sushi for its price. Better than Genki/Itacho in my opinion.

Sushiro
We have a full review in the previous post, check it out. (Link here)

Tanuki Raw
Owned by Standing Sushi Bar, the meat is fantastic but the rice however is quite dry. Salmon don $16 and the highly raved wagyu bowl, certainly good! They recently open at Timbre+!

Address: 181 Orchard Road #02-03 Orchard Central, Singapore 238896
Contact: +65 6636 5949Opening Hours: Daily from 11:30 AM - 10:30 PM(Last order at 9:45 PM)
Teppei Syokudo @ Ion Orchard
Create your own chirashi don with 3 different size from small to big. (From $8.80 onwards with 2 choice of raw fish) In comparison to Sushiro, the fish cubes are sliced much bigger, wasabi is really spicy. Prefer the fish here but like sushiro's rice and the sesame seed topping, more fragrant I guess.

Located at Ion Orchard daily 10:00 - 10:00pm

The Sushi Bar

More costly than the usual jap restaurant and find their food quite normal.. Had it in both branch Far East and Ngee Ann city. Only find the Inaniwa Udon is nice. Oh and their Chirashi's quite decent and serving is quite big. Above pic is Aburi Salmon Rice bowl (you may ask to change to white rice) and Kaizen Chirashi.

Triple three @ Mandarin Orchard Hotel
Free flow Raw fish and sushi? It's quite worth it when there's promotion. But this is the first time I had Salmon Sashimi with bones.. Which results unpleasant experience here.. Find the food quite alright and not much variety.

Lvl 5 at Mandarin Orchard (sommerset)

Wasabi Tei

Small and cozy dining and very standard authentic jap food. What's crazy here is the ultra thick salmon sashimi, very shiok. Will recommend this place if you really love sashimi. You can also get to see the knife work by the chef standing Infront of your counter table seat.
